Eight projects and how each was measured

Each one says what the problem was, what I did and what the difference was measured with. The last part is the one that matters. A number with no method behind it is decoration.

There are no logos and no names here. Most of this work was delivered as the technical partner behind other agencies, under non-disclosure agreements. I can describe the task and the solution, but not whose project it was.

Optical retail and eyewear store

Variant catalogue architecture and live stock synchronisation

94% fewer support enquiries

Average order rose above 2 items; no wait to confirm what was in stock

The task

A growing eyewear retailer ran a static catalogue with a rigid structure. Customers had to email to check which frame sizes, colours and prescriptions were available, which buried support under hundreds of messages a day.

What I did

I designed a variant-based commerce core with its own SKU structure and a direct link to the warehouse. Customers configure frame dimensions, colours and prescription values in real time and buy immediately, without waiting for an answer.

Measured by

Helpdesk ticket count, 90 days before and after launch.

Variant core Live stock SKU architecture

Automotive logistics and WMS

Dispatch dashboard and single-pass warehouse routing

Picking errors from 28% to 0.3%

Touch interface usable in work gloves; no repeated walks across the hangar

The task

Warehouse staff retyped long part numbers on handheld terminals while wearing work gloves, and crossed enormous halls repeatedly, which produced long delays and a 28% picking error rate.

What I did

I built a picking dashboard that groups items by nearest hangar, aisle and shelf. Staff collect everything in one optimised pass through a high-contrast, single-tap interface, with no typing.

Measured by

Mis-picks per thousand lines, from the client stock logs, the quarter before and after.

Warehouse logistics Route optimisation WMS integration

FinTech and banking

Interactive yield calculator for a youth savings account

27% more interest from young clients

Parent enquiry conversion rose from 6% to 18%

The task

A bank launched a high-interest savings programme for students, but the original landing page was dense with legal wording and marketing copy, which lost the young applicants and failed to convince their parents.

What I did

I built a standalone savings calculator. Applicants and parents model a deposit plan over one or two years, see the projected growth update as they type, compare the options and choose without unnecessary steps.

Measured by

Applications started per session, GA4, A/B tested against the previous landing page.

Yield calculator Conversion optimisation FinTech UI

Luxury real estate and PropTech

Dynamic property listing and instant enquiry routing

Bounce rate down by two thirds

Remaining units sold roughly twice as fast as during the launch phase

The task

In the closing phase of a premium seaside development, a listing covered in "Sold" labels told buyers that the good units were gone, and the bounce rate climbed accordingly.

What I did

I rebuilt the listing to show only what was still available, described each unit by the criteria buyers actually filter on, such as sun orientation and layout, and put a one-click enquiry on every apartment.

Measured by

Bounce rate and time to sale per unit, GA4 plus the client sales records.

PropTech listing Dynamic availability Instant enquiry routing

Four more, briefly

These have a measured number but not enough of a story to carry a full card. I leave them as they are rather than padding them out so they match the ones above.

Retail and logistics

Automated stock and courier synchronisation

No order errors

30% less manual work, with courier APIs synchronised in real time.

E-commerce retail

Dynamic checkout and upsell architecture

92% higher average order value

Contextual bundles and one-click payment, with no increase in ad spend.

Real estate and PropTech

Database architecture and search speed

0.2s filter response

Down from 4.5s on a catalogue of 20 000 listings; 40% more qualified buyer enquiries.

Professional services

Client intake portal with automated invoicing

Three times more inbound bookings

Calendar availability, Stripe invoicing and digital signature replaced 15 hours of admin a week.

Why there are not more

Over twenty five years the count is past two hundred projects. These are the eight I have both permission to discuss and a number I can defend. The rest are either under agreement or have no measurement that means anything outside its own context.

What to write so I can answer properly

I answer every email myself. If the first one carries the points below, the reply comes back with specifics and a price rather than with questions.

  • What the business is and which country it operates in
  • What you need, meaning services, a catalogue, a store or bookings
  • What the goal is, meaning more enquiries, more orders or better visibility
  • Whether a site exists today and what does not work about it
  • When you need it live
